Nice People At Work (NPAW) was founded in Barcelona in 2008 by Ferran Gutiérrez and Sergi Vergés, who together built a previous start-up, Wuaki.tv (Rakuten). NPAW focused early on technology like Nice 264, an end-to-end OVP, and later the DRM and encoding platform YOUZANA. By 2013, all efforts were directed to YOUBORA, NPAW’s core solution. With an injection of private funding, NPAW grew five-fold and began serving North America and other international markets. R&D pivoted to user experience with a data science team building better analytics using AI. Today, NPAW continues to produce cutting-edge data analytics and business intelligence for online video services.
